Enema bags

Enema bags

An enema bag is a container that is suspended high and is connected to a cannula by a flexible hose that is inserted into the anus. Enemas are safe and can be used as often as you like. They effectively relieve constipation, diarrhea, bloating and nausea.

The enema consists of injecting a volume of water into the colon, using a cannula inserted into the anus. Enemas, then known as clysters, were widely used in the 17th and 18th centuries, when there were few known remedies.
